Employment & Training

Shaping Futures works closely with local businesses and industry to access skilled and work ready job seekers and unemployed and underemployed people to develop the skills and abilities they need to access work, or to obtain additional hours of work. This is delivered through the Department of State Development’s WorkReady Jobs First Employment Projects (JFEP) and Adult Community Education (ACE).

Jobs First Employment Projects (JFEP)

JFEP funds tailored skills and employment projects that are developed in response to job opportunities identified by employers; and which respond to the unique needs of unemployed and underemployed people through the provision of employment support services that address barriers to employment.
